Hello Hampden Heights Friends and Neighbors!
Here is some information from Faye Ganley about a community organization that provides support and communication for our community:
A Little Help is a nonprofit organization that connects neighbors across ages to enhance lives and strengthen our communities. ALH fosters the community to help older adults thrive in their homes by connecting folks with services and resources as they navigate the unknowns of aging and build meaningful connections with neighbors of all ages. They connect senior members with a variety of services such as transportation, yard work, and minor home repair by coordinating volunteering neighbors or vetted service providers, while creating opportunities for inter-generational connection and community engagement.
We need your help to spread the word. If you know someone who could benefit from the services offered by A Little Help, or if you would like to volunteer, please visit the web site at alittlehelp.org to learn more. Faye will also be picking up some brochures, if you would like some to hand to neighbors, let her know.
A Little Help is hosting an informational picnic at the pool on Tuesday, August 13th, at 4:30pm. The picnic is open to anyone who is interested in learning more. It will be catered and will have a nominal fee of $11.00. RSVP is a must for the picnic by calling Hiliary at A Little Help, 720.242.9032
We’d love to have families of all ages attend the picnic to learn of the many opportunities for young and old alike to connect with neighbors. If you have any questions you can email Faye at firstname.lastname@example.org, call Hiliary 720.242.9032, and/or visit alittlehelp.org.
