YARON MARCUS - President
VICTOR ROBERTSON - Vice President
Victor Robertson has been a member of the Hampden Heights Civic Association Board since 2014 and was elected vice-president in 2017. Victor was born and raised in south Denver; he and his wife Anne have resided in Hampden Heights West since 2005. They have four children, all swimmers for the Hampden Heights Hurricanes. Victor spent the majority of his professional career serving in a leadership position for a Denver District-4 based non-profit organization that linked veterans, seniors and individuals with disabilities to community resources and health care. For the past several years Victor has focused on statewide Health Care reform as a Policy Specialist for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing. Victor believes that Hampden Heights is truly Denver’s best kept secret and is committed to ensuring it remains the best place to live and play for individual in all walks of life.
SHANNON SCHLIEP - Secretary
Shannon and her husband, Cole, first rented a home in Hampden Heights East in 2011 and loved it so much that they ended up buying it from their landlord in 2014. Shannon is a Colorado Native and graduate of Colorado State University. She is currently a Realtor with RE/MAX Alliance and is passionate about helping buyers and sellers achieve their real estate dreams. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time at her condo in Grand Lake with her husband and two Golden Retrievers, Champ and Charlie. Their favorite activities include snowmobiling, boating, cross-country skiing and hiking. Shannon is also actively involved in volunteer activities and Sorority Housing Corporation. She has served on the HHCA board since 2015 and loves getting to know neighbors and helping create a sense of community in Hampden Heights.
MARK ORRS - Events Coordinator
Mark Orrs is the Events Coordinator for the HHCA, with primary responsibilities for planning the year’s large community events: the Easter Egg Hunt, the 4th of July Celebration, Fall Fest, and the Turkey Trot. Mark moved to Denver in the summer of 2018 from New York City with his partner, Zaki Robbins, grandson of Leslie and Rosemary Berry, who were original Hampden Heights homeowners back in the 1960s. Mark and Zaki now reside in the Berry’s old home on South Chester Court with their dog Shango.
JENNA BECKER - Communications Chair
Jenna Becker is the first ever Communications Chair on the HHCA. She helps to promote all the information for the board and their varied events. Her position oversees Facebook and Nextdoor postings, creates the newsletter and helps manage the website. She has lived in the neighborhood for eight years. In addition to working at the local school, she spends her time with her husband and two daughters, as well as volunteering in the community. It is her hope that the Hampden Heights neighborhood becomes a close knit community in which neighbors can rely on each other.
SARA KRAUSS - Treasurer
Sara Krauss is the Treasurer for the HHCA. She is a Financial Consultant for Abstract Insights and works for several DPS Charter schools in the area. Sara is a native of Colorado and grew up in southeast Denver. As a child her family was pool members and she swam with the Hampden Heights Swim Team in the 80's. Sara and her husband have been members of the pool for ten years and she has three kids who currently swim for the Hampden Heights Hurricanes.
KIM MCMAHON - Membership Chair
Kim McMahon, has been a Hampden Heights resident since 2002, a HHST member since 2006 and a Board Member since 2012. She is in charge of HHST memberships including assisting current members, recruiting new members and communicating about anything pool related. She has two boys who have grown up at HHST, enjoyed swim lessons and are currently swimming for the Hampden Heights Hurricanes swim team. She is, as always, here to help.
HALISI VINSON - Denver Parks and Rec
Halisi has always been active in the community, serving the residents of the Denver metro area. Servant leadership isn’t just a strong value to Halisi, it’s who she is at her core. Currently, she sits on a number of Executive Boards and formal Committees including: Hampden Height Civic Association, Colorado Black Women for Political Action, Census 2020, Civic Canopy, Colorado Democratic Party and Denver Public Schools Bond Oversight Committee.
